Mother of the Year Award

Created by K.M. on April 28, 2015

I would like to ask the White House to invite and award on mother's day the unidentified mother in Baltimore who went to the riots on April 27,2015 to make her son go home. She saw her son on a tv news station and on recognizing him went downtown to the area he was at and dragged him home for participating in the violent rioting. She went down there with no thought to her own safety and wanted to make sure that she showed her son that she was in no way condoning his actions and would not allow him to continue participating. I think she is a great example of a parent who is taking charge of her child and trying to show him a better way. If there were more parents such as this woman who were directly involved in the lives of their children the world would be a better place.
