We the People of the United States request the Obama Administration to block the sale of Motorola Mobility to any foreign organization. There are multiple business, legal, political, economical, and historical cases in supporting the ban of this sale by Google, Inc. to Lenovo. The loss of home-grown U.S. mobile phones would have a lasting impact on the nation’s future innovation and ability to direct growth of the cellular communication market. The high skilled/high pay of specialists in this field would be lost to external entities, and the remnant of telecommunication manufacturing jobs would be completely lost to foreign competition. With almost 100 years of U.S. tradition, the iconic Motorola would be lost forever. Ultimately, this deal would hurt the American people.
