The gun massacre at Newtown killed 20 first-grade children. On that day, a gun also made several children motherless. Since then, Americans have yearned for an end to the threat posed by firearms to the lives and security of our children. Thanks to the use of firearms, more of our children die, suffer painful injury, and lose a parent every day. We petition the White House to mount a high-profile TV and internet campaign that exposes how firearms harm our children's lives every day and how guns should be considered a threat to the health, security and families of America's children.
