Moving all power lines underground in the long run will be more efficient and cost effective. By moving power lines underground they will not be knocked down or damaged by storms so area's will be able to keep power though natural disasters like hurricanes and tornadoes. The telephone poles will be removed allowing the natural landscape to be seen and keeping them from becoming hazardous during storms and obstacles during recovery. Moving all power lines underground will make jobs for skilled electricians and heavy machinery workers.
