Move California to the East Coast, pulled by a team of whales around the bottom of South America.

It is well known that the State of California is precariously placed along fault lines, and that eventually Earth's tectonic plates will dump the state into the Pacific Ocean. Rather than a tragedy waiting to happen, this presents a unique opportunity to move the state, which is inconveniently located on the west coast, to the east coast, which is where most American business is based.
The American economy will be greatly stimulated by transplanting Los Angeles and San Francisco in New England, closer to New York and Boston, and bringing California's industries with them.
The state can be inexpensively pulled around the southern tip of South America by a team of whales who can be fed by using the Federal Government's already wasteful Canned Tuna Reserves.
