The dragon Smaug has amassed a gigantic hoard of gold and gemstones in a cave located under this mountain.
Also there is a new alloy of silver (mithril) that would be useful in the aircraft industry due to it's strength and light weight.
Taking this hoard would be relatively easy, a dragon would get serious indigestion swallowing just one Hellfire missile!
These treasures would be enough to pay off the national debt, and fund much needed infrastructure upgrades in this nation.
Also funding for education and the sciences would be made available, as well as funding to ensure that every citizen has housing and food!
