We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Move election day to the first Sunday in Novemeber.

Created by Z.W. on November 10, 2016

Over the last four Presidential elections, voter turnout as been abysmal. Since 2000's election The highest voter turn out was in 2008 when 62.2% of eligible voters turned out to vote. That means since 1980, in our highest voter turnout for Presidential election, only 32.56% of people wanted the candidate that made it into the Oval office.

I believe that the largest contributor to this lack of turnout is the fact that we scheduled our elections on the first Tuesday of every November.

I personally feel changing the set date to a day in the weekend would massively increase voter turnout.
