Keeping Iraq together as a nation is not worth one more American life. We freed the Shia from a brutal dictator and they squandered that freedom and even worse killed many Americans while we were trying to free them.
Neither the Shia or Sunni in Irag will ever be our friends. Our only friends in Iraq are the Kurds.
Its time for the Kurds to have there own country. Create a DMZ to their south and west and defend them from intruders. Permanent military bases should be placed there and a treaty should be signed between the Kurds, Turkey and The US.
Let the Shia and Sunni fight or live in peace. Their choice.
Offer the Russian Naval Base in Syria to ISIL if they remove Assad without any civilian casualties.
The UN should remove Russia's navy from the Syrian Naval Base by vote.
