Standardized publicly funded campaigns would:
- require candidates to have real ideas rather than just being stylized. Politicians should be showing us what they would do rather than selling themselves to us.
- eliminate lobbying corruption.
- save politicians time and energy because they wouldn't have to fund raise.
- reduce the amount of time a current office holder could campaign because funds would be limited. This would give them time to actually DO the job that the American people hired them to do.
- remove industrial biases from civil and environmental policymaking.
- candidates wouldn't have to be rich to run for office.
