Move the General Election to a more convenient day, like Saturday, rather than Tuesday.

Created by M.M. on November 12, 2012

Why do Americans vote on Tuesdays? It is an old tradition, created for a time that is long behind us. Having the election on Tuesdays disenfranchises many of the working class, as it is a weekday.

Would it not be more reasonable to have elections on a Saturday, or some other more convenient day? We cannot let tradition dictate simply because it is tradition. It is not applicable any more, and serves as a counter incentive to democratic participation from the lower classes. We ask the Obama Administration to address this.
