I am petitioning President Obama to move Memorial Day from the last Monday in May to its original date of May 30th. I'm also asking him to make it a true Federal holiday by requiring government offices, schools and all national retail stores to close on that date. It is a chance to truly honor all those who have given their lives in service to our country.
The following exemptions are granted:
1. Convenience stores
2. Pharmacies
3. Bars and Restaurants
4. Ethnic grocers
5. Gas Stations
6. Movie theaters
7. Flea Markets and Yard Sales
8. Online retailers
