Although Generals and Presidents Grand and Jackson have an important part in our nations history they also represent some very disturbing parts of our history.
Jackson ordered what we know as the trial of tears and Grant was the leader of an army in a divided country.
It is time we recognize that what we need are leaders on our bills that represent unity and progress to the future instead of racism and murder.
I propose that we replace Jackson with Theodore Roosevelt who long deserves credit for what he did to preserve the nature of our country and Grant with Martin Luther King Jr. who tried to bring this country together.
