Move to outlaw state secession from the union.

After the recent election, groups of people from several states have signed petitions to move to secede from the union, many of which were spurred directly due to the outcome. In our nations past, the issue of legality of secession has lingered and long been argued, yet has not come to a conclusion. Even after the civil war. Secession should NOT be legal for a few simple reasons; individual states have contributed to the foundation and growth of the union and depend upon each other, for the sake of maintaining our status as a union, secession may cause sporadic, and likely unfavorable changes in economic condition, and it causes a split in the military. also, on a moral note, many of our nations past brave men and women fought and continue to fight to protect the union.
