Move to Permanent Daylight Savings Time and no longer change the clocks twice a year.

Created by J.F. on March 10, 2014

Changing the time twice a year does not create the energy savings which it is frequently given credit. During Daylight Savings Time the cost of energy saved in the evening is shifted to the morning.
In the spring, we have lowered productivity during the week following the time change since we have effectively given everyone one hour of jetlag. Children do not adjust well to the change, and parents have to work to adjust the sleep schedules of millions of children.
Agriculture has many technological advances in place that negate most of the need to stay on standard time. And the impact on other businesses is positive during DST creating significant economic advantages. Because of these advantages, we believe staying on Daylight Savings Time makes more since than staying on Standard Time.
