The Super Bowl is always played on a Sunday and is one of the most watched events of the year. Many people gather to celebrate the Big Game and as a result, the following Monday is one of the least productive days of the year.
It is estimated that because of the number of people who call out sick that following Monday (an estimated 1.5 million for this year) that an estimated $825 million are lost.
We the People petition that the holiday of President's Day (celebrated the 3rd Monday of February) be moved to the day after the Super Bowl. This will give a day off on a very unproductive day and a chance for Americans to relax and recover after the Super Bowl.
