President's Day is an arbitrary day anyhow. Superbowl parties and gatherings are an American traditional as well. It makes sense to couple these days together. The Superbowl has a positive influence on the economy and President's Day sales would be strengthened as well. Workplace productivity would go up as sick days after the Superbowl spike anyhow. Companies spend millions on commercials and would love the immediate day after the airing of the commercial for the consumer to have the best possible chance to act.
