The US Government needs to push to stop the invasion of Asian Carp in the Great Lakes Region. Asian carp are invading the upper Great Lakes through the Chicago River. These carp spawn up to 1 million off spring per spawn, and can spawn more than once a year if there is enough food around. These carp clean food out of the water that other aquatic life rely on, displacing those species. These fish also jump over 10 feet above the water when spooked. There is a study issued to the US Army Corp. of Engineers that will take too long to perform. The delay will allow the spread to reach Lake Michigan and the other Great Lakes.
