111 million Americans watched the Superbowl last year. Many of us gathered with our friends and family away from our homes to celebrate this unofficial American holiday. As with any other holiday, many of us who were of age enjoyed alcoholic beverages. Unfortunately, do to the fact that the Superbowl is on Sunday and many of us had to work on Monday, many of us also drove home under the influence. By moving the Superbowl to Saturday, we would eliminate the need for large groups of people to drive home after the Superbowl.
It should also be noted that it would be absurd to expect an average American to perform at their job after such a day of celebration. We should treat the Superbowl similar to New Years if we really care about drunk driving and the quality of American's work.
