Move towards banning product and food packaging that is not either recyclable or compostable.

Created by V.B. on July 11, 2013

We all know that by using recyclable and reusable materials we are helping to protect natural resources, reduce pollution and keeping waste out of landfills. With many companies however, their food containers and product packaging still remain non-biodegradable and non-recyclable.

We ask that regulations be put in place to move towards an explicit ban on environmentally unfriendly packaging that still remains in our country wherever possible. It is understood that for some products, such as electronics, the technology may not have reached a point where this is viable, however there are far too many examples remaining that are pure unnecessary waste.

A few such examples include: Potato Chip Bags, Fast food wrappers/cups/bags, Shrink wrap and mixed medium packaging.
