There are few forms of government that adequately anticipated the social impact of the internet and its role in government. We need to entertain new forms of governments such as "E-democracy" which in most definitions correlates to an internet based, "Direct Democracy". Many of philosophical and technological issues have already been resolved, and many universities world wide developing tools to facilitate this change.
America used to be the leader in technology and innovation, If we do not begin to undertake this feet, we will slowly slip away as technology, government, and people go their own separate ways.
