Problem 1: Veteran's Day is an unfairly forgotten holiday wedged between Columbus Day and Thanksgiving.
Problem 2: For much of the country, August is the best month, yet it's devoid of any holidays, despite the fact that WWII ended in August.
Solution: Move Veteran's Day to August, creating a new summer quartet of holidays, and properly elevate celebration of our veterans to equal our celebration of Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Veteran's Day will be transformed from a cold, neglected holiday to the summer festival that it deserves to be.
