Mr. President: On February 12th, at the State of the Union Address, speak out saying the words “Nonprofit Sector.”

Created by G.W. on January 23, 2013

Mr. President:

In your Inaugural Speech you spoke about issues that will make a better America. Those issues and many more are the work of the Nonprofit Sector. Spend one minute during the State of the Union address acknowledging the Nonprofit Sector as reflecting the soul of American society.

Mention that nonprofits added $779 billion to the economy, 5.4% of the GDP. (Urban Institute)

Tell the people that supporting the Nonprofit Sector is not only good for the America’s humanity, but good for its economy.

Your words will create an atmosphere that will make America an even more philanthropic nation. They will enable the Nonprofit Sector to recover and thrive.
