Mr. President: Hold Yourself to Your Oath to Preserve, Protect, and Defend the Constitution of the United States

Created by J.O. on January 14, 2013

Mr. President:

When you were inaugurated in 2009, you swore to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, but your recent push to achieve gun control through executive orders violates the Constitution not only in the sense that these executive orders would bypass Congress, but that they violate every American's Second Amendment rights, as well.

Mr. President, We the People of the United States urge you to execute your office in a manner that respects our Constitution and is limited to the executive authority granted to you by the Constitution; do not enact legislation without the approval of Congress.
