Mr. President, May you please consider abolishing the penny? It cost more to make than its worth, and fails as money.

We must get rid of the penny. It has no true value, costs the USA mints more money to make than it is worth, and does not have enough buying power to defend its existence. Studies show that if we round everything to the nearest 5 cents, charitable givings will not decrease, price of goods will not increase, and the United States government will by far gain more money from not printing them than it could possibly lose from the possible decrease in sales tax. Pennies aren't worth the time and money used to facilitate them. There is no non-sentimental reason to keep them. They are a dead weight on the economy and must be destroyed. It will decrease the deficit, save time, and decrease inflation. Please consider.
