The current spending bill allows for limits on individual contributions to national parties to increase to $324,000 a year from $32,400. This would only benefit the 1% since 99% of americans cannot afford to contribute this kind of money. With additional contributions comes more buying power of our government officials. Having government policy being dictated by the 1% is not how our democratic system was designed to work.
