Mr. President, recognize the second amendment is about citizens RIGHT to protect themselves from government tyranny.

As we all know with the tragedy in connecticut, there has been a debate about the laws regarding firearms. I just want to remind the president as well as anyone else the true meaning of the second amendment to the constitution. We have a RIGHT to defend ourselves against domestic tyranny in government, as well as from foreign invasions. We also have a RIGHT to defend ourselves from psychotic criminals. Statistics have shown states that have passed conceal and carry laws have seen violent crime go down. Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, but they also have one of the highest violent crime rates. The satistics show time and again the less strict the gun laws, the less violent crime. Of course you will rarely hear that in the corporate media.
