The students in Mrs. Kelly's support classroom would like to be able to spend more time with their parents. During the summer, many parents still need to provide for their families so they would like to have a country wide vacation of 2 weeks for everyone so that parents may get to spend valuable time with their children. In this day and age, parents need to work more and their children are more likely to be with sitters or home alone or have to go to programs during the day.
My students came up the petition on their own and feel very proud of their petition. They feel it is an urgent matter that will allow them to grow to be productive citizens.
