MTA for Dogs. Allow or create subway and bus lines that allow people to travel with their dogs. New York based.

Created by J.C. on March 24, 2015

I feel that our dogs are not just pets they are family. Not everyone in the 5 boroughs of New York drives. Like my self & many other New Yorkers our only means of transit is the MTA. In case we need to take our pup to the doctor how are we suppose to get there if our pup is not small enough to fit in a carrier & we do not drive. They only allow service dogs or dogs small enough to fit in a carrier. I feel the MTA should provide New Yorkers a way to travel w/ our pup via public transit. For ex: Create a dog bus & train line for people only traveling w/ dogs. Have those buses & trains run on specific lines, routes & times as to hopefully not interfere w/ the current mode of transit. They can charge more than the regular fare for these lines & require dogs to be muzzled for safe travel.
