My credit score should not be a requirement for an apartment!

I am petitioning the White House to re-evaluate the protocol for people who are in the market for an apartment.The current system is a burden to potential tenants who must pay landlords to run their credit; thus giving the landlord too much access into a tenant's financial history. This process hinders people who are striving to reach personal and professional paths, which requires them to have a sense of stability, space, and individuality to work toward reaching their goals. Working class people should not have to answer to property owners about their credit history!
