My solution to gun problems : All 18 year old Americans are to serve one year in a State Guard Military program. In a basic training scenario, our privileged youth will be able to learn to work together, and learn respect for others. At the same time gun safety will be exercised, in a manner that concerns all aspects of America's well being.
Basic training brings young people together, in a way that no other situation can. Many people know what the words Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, mean. But how often do you see someone actually live up to them? Soldiers learn these values in detail during Basic Combat Training, from then on they live them every day in everything they do. Core Values listed above are what America is made of. Ask a Vet and they should agree.
