Given that NASA's next big space mission will be the "Plymouth Rock Mission" next decade, why don't we name whatever asteroid we choose definatively as the target "Plymouth Rock" in order to build excitement and interest for the Plymouth Rock Mission? It sounds better in the headlines to say that "Astronauts are on their way to Plymouth Rock" then "Astronauts are on their way to ABC123456". This little idea could garner more support for the mission and make it more interesting in a cultural sense as that one asteroid out of the trillions that are out there will have a special place in our culture accordingly. And since there so many asteroids to choose from for targets, it makes things more interesting. Apollo went to the Moon, the asteroid mission could go to Plymouth Rock?
