name Bill Simmons, editor-in-chief of Grantland, as the administration's official "Sports Czar".

Created by D.S. on January 21, 2013

Bill Simmons, long known as "The Sports Guy", has always had the best interests of the American sports fan at heart. The author of two books, he is knowledgeable on all sports, including their histories, rules' nuances, labor issues, etc. He cares about the general population, often running columns with his response to readers' emails and the at times brilliant, at times strange sports ideas they contain.

In November 2008, Mr. Simmons was nominated by a reader for the position of Sports Czar. He accepted the role and wrote 750 words on his initial ideas. I ask that the President make it official, and nominate Mr. Simmons for Sports Czar. As our league forget the fans in their search for money, it would be nice to see America's biggest fan have our back in the government.
