Whereas, President Obama has nominated Jacob Lew as Secretary of the Treasury and there will be a vacancy in the Office of Chief of Staff.
Whereas, there are few women holding cabinet level position and there may be fewer in President Obama's second term.
Whereas, there has never been a female Chief of Staff in the history of the office.
We therefore petition the Obama Administration to appoint a woman as Chief of Staff for his second term.
