The late Senator Daniel Ken Inouye selflessly served this nation for 70 years, overcoming racial prejudice and grievous physical injury for the love of his country. I recommend that the next aircraft carrier, CVN-78, be named the "USS DANIEL K. INOUYE" or simply the "USS INOUYE," in his memory and honor.
