In honor of the 19 Arizona Hot Shots who gave their lives fighting the Yarnell wildfire, we should honor and remember those who have given their lives in this tragedy. A number of these 19 men were former Marines, who continued in service to their country after leaving the US Armed Forces.
We should honor these outstanding men (and their Marine Corp roots) who have given all for us.
It is thereby recommended that the next US Naval ship (that does not already have a name assigned) be named the 'Granite Mountain' in honor of where these men gave all. This should also serve as a memorial to all firefighters who die fighting wildfires throughout the USA.
