NBC and the creators of the NBC Program "The Voice" plan to have their "winner" sing our National Anthem at The NHL Winter Classic on New Years Day in Foxboro, MA. We as hockey fans are requesting that NBC and the creators of "The Voice" retract this event from the program and let Mr. Rene Rancourt the Boston Bruins Anthem Singer perform this very special event.
Our belief as hockey fans is that through this rivalry between the Bruins and Canadiens Mr. Rancourt has always performed this honor. Our argument is that the "winner" of the voice and NBC are stealing a once in a lifetime moment from a man who rightfully deserves the honor of singing for his team at this very special event to the hockey community and its fans who will be expecting Mr. Rancourt to deliver our Anthem.
