Many ships have been named after many fine individuals in American History. Individuals who have made their mark to shape America into the great nation it has become, have received this prestigious honor. One of the individuals I believe has helped shape our culture over recent history, and therefore worthy of such distinction is Samuel L Jackson. Furthermore, given the recent global threats of groups like ISIS, a ship like the USS Samuel L Jackson acting as the tip of the spear, would provide an additional level of intimidation to those who would dare do us harm. Just knowing that there is a warship, the baddest Mother F***er of the greatest Navy on Earth, would make any enemy think twice about threatening our interests or our freedom.
