The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is a symbol of innovation and creativity. With a relatively small budget, NASA still manages to innovate and reach for goals previously thought unattainable. This organization provides not only practical, useful, and sometimes revolutionary technologies but also serves a far more important purpose: inspiring awe and wonder in the universe that surrounds us, creating heroes that make people aspire to go into the various fields of science and advance human knowledge of the universe we call home. The budget for NASA should be increased significantly, perhaps double what it is now, so that it can continue to effectively make dreams come true and take humanity further and further into the depths of the cosmos.
