A NASA mission to the moon or mars within a decade and a larger budget for NASA.

If we as a nation want to increase economic growth, reap the benefits of new and innovative technologies, motivate future generations of children, and leap over to the driver seat once again to lead the world in space exploration and scientific discovery then we as a nation must invest a little more now for a great payoff for our children and generations after that. to inspire a nations youth you must be ambitious. we did it fast during the cold war and we can surely do it now not because of war but because of an economic boost and a motivational uplift that is greatly needed. We can do this ! or we can coast on time and watch nation after nation pass us by. I grew up watching probe after probe land on mars and out too explore space. It's time us Americans man up on a manned mission.
