When America has been in need, Britain has given of its treasury and the lives of its people. For Britain to placed “at the back of the queue” in its dealings with the United States would be shameful, therefore, as the British people exercise their democratic right to self-determination we the American people respectfully petition that you publicly pledge our nation’s support for our unflinching ally.
