National Agency to Address the Issue of Elderly Abuse in Nursing Homes

Created by W.M. on July 25, 2015

Elderly mistreatment has been going on in nursing homes for years by means of physical, psychological, and even financial abuse. At the moment, there is no agency to address this problem, meaning that elderly abuse statistics cannot be properly gathered and there is no way to take steps to stop elderly abuse.

By creating a national agency, we will be able to properly quantify the extent of elderly abuse to and create plans to put a stop to it. This national organization should have the power to audit nursing homes and look for signs of abuse, as well as have the power to take steps against it.

As the occurrence elderly abuse continues to rise in nursing homes across the country, it is time we address the issue wholeheartedly for the sake of all Americans.
