Imagine that one of the victims in the Orlando massacre was your son or daughter. Would it move your opinion? Why is it that parents of slaughtered children almost universally join ranks with organizations that call for thoughtful, reasonable conversations to begin regarding the availability of lethal firearms, especially military-designed killing tools. I call upon the President and Congressional leaders to form a "National Commission on Firearms in America," similar to the 9/11 Commission formed in 2002. Imagine the type of recommendations that might emerge from this focused and dedicated project? Imagine a different future. Imagine dedicated change that would saves lives - perhaps the life of your son or daughter? Just imagine.
