I am saddened to hear of John Glenn's passing. He led an amazing life, and nearly all of it in service to our Country. His list of accomplishments is staggering: Sailor. Marine. Colonel. Aviator. Decorated veteran of both World War II and Korea. Test pilot. Astronaut. Medal of Honor recipient. Congressional Gold Medal recipient. Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. Senator. Husband and father.
I can't think of anyone more appropriate for our Nation to genuinely commemorate.
