We petition the President to ask for legislation imposing the death penalty on any person who is found guilty of using a gun in the commission of or the attempt of an intentional, planned and dangerous felony in the United States.
Furthermore we ask the President to not infringe upon the rights of law-abiding citizens by imposing any new restrictions on any firearm that can now be legally bought, sold or owned under current laws.
For the purpose of preventing gun violence we hope for a law that would cause the fear of death in the mind of any criminal planning to use a firearm in a felony in America. Using a firearm during the commission of a felony always carries the risk of death for intended or unintended victims; the level of punishment for those crimes should equal that possibility
