Thomas Jefferson famously said that our "tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure."
Our great country is broken. We must do much to bring it back to vigorous health, but starting out by doing these 2 things would be a sensible start.
1) Erase ALL current state congressional district borders, which have harmed our democracy through gerrymandering. Re-draw these congressional borders without human/political input, by computer or some other objective means.
2) Start fresh politically, eliminating all incumbent politicians and the advantages incumbency brings with it. Incumbents can still run for the same office, but without the advantages the office brings them.
Repeat this process every 24 years.
