National Vote on the Legalization of Small Amounts of Marijuana for Medicinal and/or Recreational Purposes

Created by P.T. on July 19, 2013

A poll was taken by the Quinnipiac University in Nov. 2012 to ask Americans about their views on the legalization of marijuana. (Keep in mind this survey was taken almost 3 years ago). Here were the results:
51%: Support the legalization of small amounts of marijuana for recreational use.
44%: Are against legalization.
7%: Are Unsure
More than half of this country is pro-legalization! Our country is supposed to be founded on democracy. This is not a decision for our government to make; it is a decision we need to make as a country. Times are different, and people are starting to realize the true harmlessness, as well as the medical benefits, of this plant. I am here today to ask for a nation wide vote on the legalization of small amounts of marijuana for medicinal and/or recreational use.
