The banks are critical to our economy and national security, and we had to prevent their collapse at enormous cost. Thus it is self-evident that the most responsible course of action is to nationalize all large and/or vital financial institutions.
With banking and finance under democratic control, our nation will no longer be subject to and victims of artificial financial cycles, because the finances of the nation would be serving the common good via our elected government.
The so-called "free market" is not a market, and there is nothing free about it. It is a concept for which there is no common definition, but under its banner we find most of our economy in tatters and without hope. Finance is not weather; and it should be managed like other infrastructure. Please sign!
