Nationalize Comcast.

Created by J.S. on July 16, 2014

The Internet has become a critical element of the United States' operational and economic infrastructure. Monopolized private control of this crucial infrastructure increasingly threatens America's productivity and global competitiveness.

An "Internet Trust" of media conglomerates has been able to eliminate competition and greatly degrade the speed, function, and affordability of Internet service as compared to that in other countries. The pending merger between Comcast and Time Warner Cable will only speed this trend, to the detriment of American consumers, businesses, and the nation as a whole.

The Internet should be treated as a public utility, like roads or water, and nationalizing Comcast will be a key step toward achieving that goal.

Also, they are a horrible, horrible company.
