Eliminate healthcare, military industry, and education as profitable institutions by nationalizing particular entities with dealings in these arenas. There would be limits to nationalization based on a strict defined criteria. Nationalizing healthcare increases the likelihood of cooperation and advancement of research also lowering cost. The military industry nationalization eliminates the conflict of interest that exists and reduces cost. The "defense/offense" budget is overblown with excessive waste/misused funds. The cheapest economists will approve this budget, will get what you need not what you want. The savings in turn can be used to invest in educating the citizens. Eliminate either middle or high school replace with trade/college. Places US in a position to compete not rule.
