Nationalize the oil industry. Inexpensive fuel is as important to our economy and national security as is our military. Drill in every State that has oil reserves, build refineries in the ones that don't. Create a national workforce to build and operate facilities. If "Big Oil" refuses to acknowledge that they alone are responsible for increased costs to all of us, and refuse to bring prices to a level where people can afford to eat out, vacation, make purchases without fuel being the brick wall it is to all of us, then We the People should take it over. Get fuel back to .50 per gal and watch our economy take off. Adding .50 more in taxes to make it $1 will stimulate this economy more than any number of stimulus type programs currently tried.
